Boy born with 24 fingers and toes

BEIJING, Feb.4 -- A baby boy has been born in California with 24

fingers and toes.

Medical staff at St Luke's Hospital in San Francisco said that the digits

on Kamani Hubbard were so perfectly formed that they do not constitute a

deformity or disability.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the baby looked so normal that maternity

staff did not even notice the discrepancy. The boy's father Kris Hubbard

eventually spotted the sixth digit on each hand and foot.

Although Polydactylism is not particularly rare, it is extremely uncommon

for an extra digit on each hand and foot.

"I was in amazement. It took a little time for me to take it all in," Kris

said. "My son has six fingers, then I saw toes and I thought 'This is quite

unique'."

He and his wife are yet to make a decision on whether to remove the extra

digits.
