Musharraf says to face
impeachment
ISLAMABAD, Aug. 9 (Chinese media) -- Pakistani President
Pervez Musharraf said Saturday he would face impeachment with a democratic
spirit.
During a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid
(PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain here, Musharraf said he would face the
impeachment to be leveled by the ruling coalition and advised the ruling party
to adopt a thoughtful way. Full story
Pakistan's parliament to initiate
Musharraf's impeachment
ISLAMABAD, Aug. 9 (Chinese media) -- The parliament of
Pakistan was summoned on Saturday to meet on Aug. 11 to discuss a resolution to
seek the impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf.
The News Network International news agency quoted
officials as saying that the National Assembly, Lower House of the Parliament,

Pakistani politician say impeachment
decision hasty
ISLAMABAD, Aug. 7 (Chinese media) -- Chairman of Pakistan
People's Party Parliamentarians Makhdoom Amin Fahim Thursday said the coalition
government had made a sensitive decision to impeach the President in haste like
other decisions the coalition made in the past.
The Dawn News TV channel quoted Amin Fahim as saying that
the time was not right for the impeachment of the president as he was afraid

Pakistan's coalition to initiate move
to impeach Musharraf
ISLAMABAD, Aug. 7 (Chinese media) -- Pakistan's coalition will
initiate a move to impeach President Pervez Musharraf immediately, Pakistan
People's Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari announced Thursday.
The judges who were dismissed last year will be restored
after the impeachment of Musharraf, Zardari said while addressing a joint news
conference with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif here. Full
