Man murders six family members, arrested in E Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Sept. 15 (Chinese media) -- A man murdered his young wife and her five

other family members in eastern Pakistan on Monday, according to official

Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).



The suspected murderer Abdul Hafeez Bhatti living at a village in the

Kabula town in Punjab province allegedly kidnapped Riaz Ahmad Bhatti a year ago,

the APP reported.

With the mutual consent of the two families, the abducted girl testified in

a court that she had left her home out of her own wish and wanted to marry the

man.

After marrying Abdul Hafeez, she left her husband's house after a quarrel

and did not return.

With the help of his cousin and friend, Abdul Hafeez killed his wife,

father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law and another

one.

He later surrendered before police, according to APP.
