Live shark dumped on Austrialian office doorstep

BEIJING, April 23 (Xin***) -- A live shark was left alive on the doorstep of an Australian news*** office, leaving the reporters puzzled.

Police said the 60-centimetre creature was still breathing when they arrived the offices of The standard in the small Victoria state town of Warrnambool.

They said they would take action against the person who left the animal to die.

According to police, the juvenile Port Jackson shark was spotted early Wednesday by a man who was leaving a McDonald's restaurant next door to the offices of The Standard.

"When we arrived, we saw the shark was left in darkness. We poured some water on it just to see if it was still breathing and it kicked around for a little while," Constable Jarrod Dwyer told state radio.

So officers borrowed a bucket of water from McDonald's, placed the shark inside it and drove to a nearby pier, where they released the creature back into the ocean.
