BEIJING, Jan. 5 -- A man from New York has claimed the
ESPN Zone Ultimate Couch Potato prize for the second year in a row.
Participants in the competition sat in front of
dozens of televisions in recliners and were only allowed to leave their seats
once every eight hours for a bathroom break.
Reigning champion Stan Friedman stayed on his couch
longer than anyone else, watching for 18 hours, 48 minutes and 17 seconds to win
the contest.
The 47-year-old won two tickets to anywhere in the
US, along with a 42-inch HDTV and recliner chair of his own.
